Members of the New Works 2014 production team are getting to know this lady well, but for those of you who don't know her yet, meet Desiree Leverenz, our Production Manager!1. What is your involvement at the U of A? 4th year BA Honours
2. What is your background in theatre? I've been involved in theatre for as long as I remember! I was that kid in grade 4 that auditioned for "Grease" for the role of Danny because I thought it would be a challenge.
3. What drew you to the New Works Executive this year? I'm really interested in fostering and encouraging creativity, self creation and new works. I think that as an artist it is vital to always work on something new and creative beyond anything you have ever learned before. This festival offers that kind of opportunity for all artists of the theatre: playwrights, actors, designers and technicians. When artists work together to create something brand new, it's magical.
4. Do you have a favourite play? (new work or otherwise!) I'm love postdramatic work, and right now I'm really into Romeo Castellucci's work!
